Weird issue with my 6128 Plus. Was working fine the last time I used it.

With the BASIC/Burnin' Rubber cartridge, I get the attached screen.

If I use a game cartridge, I just get a back screen.

So far, I have tried the following

* Swap Z80
* Swap cartridge riser board
* Swap keyboard
* Tried alternative power supply
* Disconnected floppy drive

(I've also tried these parts in my working 464 plus - they all work fine.)

Any ideas?

The problem with the amstrad plus is the computer is 90% The asic chip that emulates all. In old cpc if crtc or gate array broken, you can changue it. But in the plus the only you can try change is the ram.

If asic is broken, you can probably lost the cpc :(.

Looks like I need to source some RAM chips then.

Any other 8 bitters I can steal some RAM from? :)

Did you try to clean the cartdridge connector ? Check weldings points ?

I did swap riser and cartridge with a known working one.

I will be taking the system board out this weekend, and will re-solder all points under the PCB around the cartridge connector.
