I have just completed a conversion of an Amiga floppy drive to use on a Cpc. Here's the photos. Sorry it looks a bit ropey but the drive was quite battered to start with.

The mod removed the Amiga cabling, fitted a side switch and added another 34 pin header so it's a straight plug in swap for the hxc.

Fortunately the hole left after the Amiga rope cable was removed nicely houses a power socket and the side switch. The daisy chain socket was then extended to accommodate the 34 pin connector for the Cpc. Inside the case is a short (about 2 inch long) piece of ribbon cable split out with the side switch.  I'll patchup the metalwork and repaint it next.

It works perfectly. So the need to repaint it is lessening I do prefer the 2nd one I modded (Although that started as a Microstyle SuperDrive) as this has some better workings on the 34way port, and I found some better bolts to hold the connector etc.
