Hi All,
I'm trying to connect the EME-156 (internal drive from 6128) to a PC controller.  I have literally got a headache from looking at pinouts and cables but have yet to connect anything for fear of letting magic smoke out if I screw it up.
From what I can ascertain the internal drive is configured for DS0 on pin 4.  I'm therefore trying to work out how to wire up the connector, there seems to be all kinds of suggestions on the web and I'm going a bit crazy looking at them. I can see cables which shift 6 lines 2 steps, 8 lines 2 steps, cables with twists, cables without.  Does anyone have a simple diagram before my head pops :)

Right well after having a sleep I think my brain is working a bit clearer.  I've drawn 2 diagrams.
The internal CPC drive is DS0 so requires a twist in the cable.  An internal PCW B drive is DS1 so does not require a twist

And I guess this would be an alternate and possibly easier to make than messing around with twists.

For anyone interested I implemented the wiring on the last picture which worked and the computer recognised the drive as B:

cable 6 (amstrad) and cable 10 (pc) are not connected at all?

So its effectively the same cable described in the wiki to connect a PC drive to the Amstrad but I've moved the drive select line to pin 4 which is the active select pin on the 3" drive.  I'll pop a picture on the cable up shortly.
