OK, now we are all starting to get our wonderful multi game carts, is it time to start discussing what games (or serious stuff) we would like for them? If so let me kick it off with these 3 or 4 or 5.....

1. As previously mentioned RGB lol
2. Brunword Elite
3. Axelay compilation cart
4. Rick dangerous 2 128+
5. E-motion

Oh and has anyone had any success with the Amstrad classics CPR on c4cpc? I find only 3 or 4 of the games work ??

Edit: How about also...

6. Chuckie Egg given a complete DMA Audio, hardware sprites and Plus Palette make over?

Probably all impractical, but it woudl be a shame ot have this awesome hardware and not use it for new / rejuvinated / exciting things

I'll compile a list tonight. But certainly chuckie egg and jet set willy both crash or just reload the menu.

Is the same in the winape. The problem is in the cpr not in the c4cpc

McKlain

Maybe they use the firmware or something.

CraigsBar

I guess I need to check my EPROM of it.

Slight improvement.

The size in the cpr file was too short.

Attached one with correct size, more can be selected although not all work.

Donkey Kong doesn't start.

Out of all the games, only Ping Pong can be started and played on gx4000 all others require some keyboard input :(

cpr size in RIFF header was bad.

Winape must accept badly formed cpr files.

Donkey Kong doesn't work on Arnold or GX4000. It works in Winape???

Reverse it not work in the winape. But it work with c4cpc (I not remember if the gx4000 or the 6128 plus). But I play with it the other day when my cart arrive. But with graphics issues.

In the other hand other games works in winape but not in c4cpc.

I say it worked on the 6128 plus but not the gx4000.

donkey kong is in cart page 3. On 6128 plus that's the disc rom. Not on gx4000.
I believe I can fix it.

O.k sorry. I tried now the cartridge in winape. I will have passed your post.

One questión arnold do you know what is the extensión .crt?. why winape loads  the justinP cartridge in this extrange format?.

arnoldemu

Fix for Donkey Kong attached.

It's another that can be played on joystick on GX4000! :)

But, the mode split at the top shows in mode 1 on a GX4000. :(

Is this the graphical glitch you saw?

It's just a bin file with a  "crt" extension.
Change to .bin and try in c4cpc.

Shame you can't control it via joystick.

EDIT: Tried it. Yes works on gx4000 - but no joystick so I can't play it.
I can skip the nice scroller and title screen however.

You say winape loads this file with the crt extension?

If yes, I will add this extension to arnold wip to support it.

Yes winape loads the .crt  So c4cpc loads .bin cartridges?. Ahh that is why the last time it not work for me, I rename the .crt to cpr. XD.

I found this game in the spanish ftp server lost in time.(cpc power don't have the cartridge version.).

PD:when i try the donkey kong in the plus i respond you about the glicth.

Yes c4cpc can load cpr and bin. I didn't know there is a crt extension, but I know Gerald can add it.

Donkey Kong; Ok, if possible send a picture/photo.
As I said the score at the top is in mode 1, but the mode split is a bit "bad", so that the L=01 part is also in mode 1 when it should be mode 0.

TFM

IMHO for C4CPC it would be the best to use .BIN files, because they can be used 1 to 1 into the simulated ROM. Or do I miss something?

I guess I need to check my EPROM of it.
OK I got my Eprom version out and tested it in my 6128 plus... All games work.

checked the C4CPC in the same machine... Only a few work.

Checked the size of my classics eprom, it's a M27C4001 (512kb) so much larger than either image in this thread so far.
> on inspection the fill 512kb is not full, a lot of the end is filled with FF, but the data section is longer than 256kb. I guess the other dumps were truncated at some point in the past.

Dumped it from the eprom to BIN then BIN->CPR

tested that one in the C4CPC

All Games works perfectly in both the 464plus and 6128plus

Attached here is the 513kb CPR file

Adding on extension to support is not a problem.

Agreed, I did not even know about .crt file (cathode ray tube  ::) ). If it's raw binary, lets call it .bin !
