Looking through my box of cpc bits and I found a dk'tronics mouse interface which I didn't know I had  :D

I photographed the interface and pcb.

I don't have a manual or driver disc.

The interface came with a genius bus mouse (also with a 9-pin connector). Maybe this mouse would work on Amstrad PCs, but not confirmed.

I don't know if I even plugged in and tried this interface  ???

More info when I have time to add it.

Here's the link to the photos http://cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Dk'tronics_Mouse_Interface

They are interesting: The expansion port interface looked as if it'd contain some "super-complex" hardware, with motion counters mapped to I/O ports. - But now, seeing the PCB, it looks more like a normal AMX interface.

The 50pin expansion port connector seems to be used only to connect to 5V and GND. On the photos, there are a few more wires "vanishing" under the connector, but it's quite possible that they don't connect to it. There aren't enough "vanishing" wires to do any useful port decoding - still, they could theoretically connect to something... For example, wiring one of the buttons to NMI or so.

Okay, NMI would be pretty unlikely, but would be nice if somebody could verify if the wires connect to the expansion port or not.

Oh, and does somebody have software for the dk'tronics mouse? Disassembling it would be easiest to find out if it's AMX compatible, or not.
Or, another way would be to test if the dk'tronics hardware works with AMX software.

Could you confirm if the mouse works with Lemmings on the CPC... apparently it supports mouse controls?
