Got 2 DMP 3000 printers with the CPC I bought in December.

Got all the leads, not checked if they power up. I assume the ink will be LONG gone by now. Are they worth keeping?

Aside from the great sound of a dot matrix printer printing stuff out. (but I could probably find a video on youtube for that)

Keeping them or not is a personal choice.

If you are not going to use them, maybe it isn't worth.

I see that we dumped the character rom but there may be some more characters in the microcontroller internal rom space. So, if you're disposing of them, I'd like to have one as to check our rom dump and try to dump the missing bits.

One man's rubbish is another person's treasure....

I've been selling stuff on e-bay that I thought wouldn't go for much.. I was surprised by what people were prepared to pay..

Well, if it is still working, I'd say keep (a working) one (and get a new ink ribbon if you can) I recently got myself a NOS "Centroinc GLP 500" printer (aka Brother ML 1009, Schneider NLQ 401), and I enjoy it tremendously - I am using it with all my older retro computer by now. CPC, TRS 80 Model 4, Coco, CPC, BBC Micro, Atari's, Amstrad NC 100.. it is fun!
