Hey folks.
Question for the hardware guys.

Got my hands on my 464 at the end of last year, and after a few minor hiccups everything seems to be running smoothly. So I've gotten some compilations recently to rebuild my tape collection and I'm noticing more and more load failures on games stored on longer tapes.

Also seems to struggle with FF and REW on the tapes too.

So my question to you, is are the tapes just old and stuck or is my drive belt on it's way out? This doesn't appear to be a major problem on most of my single tape releases so I'm a bit stumped.

Any ideas?
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Bryce

The belt is probably starting to slip because it has lost its grip and is turning to plastic. Swap it out.

Bryce.

Thanks for the advice, Bryce.
I'll give that and go and see how I get on.  :)

Cheers!
