I gave you the Like for putting the MegaFlash in the picture too :)

Gryzor

Didn't mean to, but what the heck, it's always there :D

And... Hiding bills behind your monitor won't make them go away! You have to pay them eventually :D

Nice ABBA switch too by the way :)

Gryzor

Bills go directly to the incinerator. This is a receipt :D

Looks good Gryzor.

Negative points for not having so many ROMs that the screen has scrolled on boot-up though  ;)

I've been loading and off-loading so many ROMs that this is the light stage by now... Only Nyancat stays :D

MacDeath

Yep, this is quite elegant indeed, nice idea, This can give some ideas.

Is this some mundane IDE flat-cable ?

Also : OMG, is dat a Cat ? I love Cats.!!!!

Bryce

It's a standard Shugart cable, ie: the flat cable used to connect floppy drives in a PC.

Bryce.

Gryzor

Yes it is.

It came as a slight surprise that I don't have to change the pins shorted on the board itself, it works just by flipping the switch; I half-expected it to need to change the pins as well...

Also, I haven't tried changing drives with the machine on. I don't think anything terrible will happen, maybe the machine will get confused... yet it's itching me :D

Bryce

As long as the CPC isn't accessing a drive at the moment you switch, then there's no problem switching back and forth while the CPC is running.

Bryce.

Gryzor

Yeah, makes sense. For some reason I was thinking in terms of modern computers that occasionally communicate with drives even when you don't specifically use them...
