CPC 464 Colour Restoration

Im in the middle of restoring my old CPC 464, just got the tape drive working again and have cleaned up the internals. I'm moving onto the case next. The keys have a good bit of browning going on which I can fix. The one thing I'm not sure about is the faded reds on the cassette deck. Has anyone found a way to repair this? I know this is faded so will needed painting of sorts, just wondering if anyone has done this successfully?

I would think painting would be easy enough but restoring the character might be more difficult
