Recently became a proud owner of a brand new, never used, Amstrad GX4000. Was very happy to get this, it's in pristine condition. Just one problem, I get sound, but no display.

Setup items are as follows before I get into details:

I have both an OSSC and a Framemeister. The Framemeister is using a Euro Scart adapter sold by Solaris Japan that was packaged with the Framemeister when I bought it. My Turbo Duo and PC Engine Shuttle both work on their respective 8 pin din to Scart connectors to that Euro Scart adapter that goes into the Framemeister without issue.

I also am using the following third party items:

Power Supply: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006GEPUYA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Male to Male Scart Cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DYEN1NQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Framemeister is on the 2.03a Firmware.

System is connected as follows: Amstrad GX4000 --> Male to Male Scart Cable --> Euro Scart Adapter --> Framemeister --> HDMI Output to TV

When I turn on the Amstrad GX4000, immediately I am greeted by sound. I can hear Burnin Rubber kick on with it's music no problem. However, no video can be displayed. I have tried adjusting the Framemeister settings to make it accept both 1080p 50p and std and external sources. Neither work.

I'm not sure what other settings I may need to tweak in the Framemeister. I need to make sure this console works, I just recently purchased it and I want to make 100% sure it has no issues. Unfortunately, I cannot even test the RF output since the cable will not fit into any of my tvs coax connections. Even a black and white image or something, I would be happy with right now, so long as it confirms that yes, the console is outputting a signal.

I used that Male to Male Cable that I bought from Amazon, and I have tested it on both the OSSC and the Framemeister. Neither display onto my tv for me when connected from the Scart port on the Amstrad into the Framemeister Euro Scart Adapter. The model of the console I have is not the french version, as the RF output on this one is present and intact.

Any and all advice would be immensely helpful and appreciated. I have some other feelers out on other forums but this is the expert level forum on Amstrad stuff, so once I found about this forum I registered in the hopes of getting any assistance. At this point, I'm thinking the issue is one of 3 things.

Framemeister settings

The Scart to Scart Cable

The Euro Scart adapter that Solaris Japan gave to me with the Framemeister.

Any and all guidance is appreciated. I'd like to verify that this brand new console to my gaming collection is indeed ok and working, as eventually I'd like to get the flash cart ( hence the third party Power Supply ) and get the games loaded onto that. But I need to make sure this thing works fully first and is not a dud.

Unfortunately I've got no idea about the Framemeister. But, can't you just make a RF cable to connect it? Even if it's different than the original, I guess it's a dead-simple cable to produce.,..

Sorry to read you are having problems, hope you get it working soon.

If you have audio and no video that indicates you need to apply a voltage to the RGB select pin of the SCART. 1.5v usually does the trick.

That's usually the issue with a TV but can't speak of the Framemeister.

@Dracosavarian

Do you have a link to the Framemeister schematic ?
as you may be able to inject 1.5 Volts from the Framemeister

One option to try the console, is you can search a friend that have  a pctv card or a capture card in the pc. The pc software don't have problems with Pal/secam. So at least you can try the console in composite to know if it works.

One of these cheap

Should do the trick to test if the console is o.k. then you can discard a console problem, and center in the frameseiter part.

In the other hand, if you discover the euro adapter is the problem. I recommend you buy a wire here:

I have one snes cable of these guys. And he is very well constructed. And they tell you exactly what you buy.

Edit i view frameseiter have av input. Best :) . Connect here the gx4000 to test It without the solaris wire in middle.
