I don't get how they're used; do you carefully and lightly place them on empty sockets? :D

Yes, I was going to post the link too, but as I said I don't quite understand how the Speccy one works - is it internal? External? Telepathetic?

PS Hey, where's mine? :D

Not sure if your being serious, but the two rows of solder connections down the left and right hand side along with the D0-D6 points across the middle are actually pins that plug into the sockets in the spectrum, this (pressumably) is enough pins to pick up the address bus, control signals and data bus.

Gryzor

My bad; I didn't notice that solder protruded that much, I thought at first glance that these were just solder blobs. Ok, makes sense now.

Yes, of course. That's a professional external card. Best choice, when you don't want to solder inside your CPC.

as the great Bill Gates once told :" what would you do with more than 640K ?"

But yeah, a modern thing to get those 464 into a more proper spec wouldn't hurt.

Sure, this breadboard toast looks deliciously pro at the moment.

No, he said: "640K Ought to be enough for anybody", that was true as base RAM for PC.

What a 464 REALLY would need is the ability to use RAM configuration C1 and C3 like on the 6128, but this probably won't work w/o internal mods.
