The two "Linker" files in this video are from the original release of the program in 1986.

1. Entry of the Gladiators by Julius Fucik arranged by Diane Swallow
2. Six pieces composed and arranged by Simon Jay (Filenames are displayed onscreen)

Now, having the musical skill and talent of a block of wood means that my role here is to press the PLAY button so that CPC music from the eighties can be heard today and quite I'm happy with that.
However being a block of wood that means that I am unable give a proper assessment of this program and would I strongly suggest reading the two reviews below so that you can make up your own mind on the merits of the package.

"Wow!!! That's been years since I heard that - and created it!! It was a late call from Tony Rainbird to add some example tunes (!) as demos; I had great fun experimenting - which is all this is - to try and demonstrate the stereo 3 channel capability. Sounds very naïve now although I still have a soft spot for Deceipt and Dadmusic - yes, my Dad liked to tinkle on the piano and came up with the main melody of that.... Happy memories...."

"Cheers Simon, glad I could bring those memories back!
I'm curious how this came about, did you already have CPC experience and work for Rainbird Software?"

Simon Jacobs

"No, I'd got into Firebird with the production of a text adventure - The Helm - written by me and my brother. Tony Rainbird called me up to buy this and then asked for it to go onto the C64. We then started to develop The Bermuda Triangle specifically for the CPC6128 but that was eventually shelved. They liked some of the graphics I had developed and I ended up doing a bunch of front screens (eg PHS Pegasus; Elite); my brother started working for them full time and was in the room when they realised they needed some demo music for TMS - so my brother suggested I create some! Great fun!!!"

"Hi Simon, This is fascinating. With your permission I would like add your replies to my post at CPCWiki regarding these files -   I'm sure they would be of interest to some of the members there. I assume that you used the name Simon Jay because you liked it!"

Simon Jacobs

"Yes of course. No, at the time I was a professional magician - Simon Jay was my stage name :-)"
