Hi @Edoz(MSX)

Today i connected 2 CPC in the same network to IRC using SYMirc last version.

I saw something strange... 1 CPC can chat on a channel but never see channel information or replies, but the other CPC can see the messages and the informations...

here, 2 pics with the problem:

This is strange! Is this behavior only when connection 2 CPC machines at the same time?
You are sure you use 2 different IP addresses ? So you have no duplicates on your network?
Same for the MAC address? And if it is only with  machines at the same time is it always the second machine that get the troubles first?

If other messages gets lost when i have only 1 machine, well i don't know! But sometimes i see messages partially displayed on the channel window and the end of the message on the status window... maybe it happens only with this irc server: irc.irc-hispano.org

Yes, they have 2 different ip address, 192.168.0.20 & 192.168.0.21

yes they have different MAC

Ok, good to know. As i'm not using this IRC server so it could be that i didn't notice this. I have to test it against this IRC server. There is still an issue with long strings in SymIRC which i need to fix. This happens when the server is sending a lot of info over the network in the IRC protocol which is bigger then 256 characters. But in your screenshots it seems small text so i have to double check this against this IRC server. Maybe i do something wrong regarding the IRC protocol. I doubt it has something to do with 2 machines online at the same time. I do not own a CPC, but i never saw this kind of issues. Even when i start 2 sessions at the same time on the same machine. (

Anyway ...Let's debug it! I hope i can find the cause. You could also check the debug checkbox in the connect screen. (to help me) Then you can see if the text is displayed in the status window. (and not in the channel window) If so, it would be nice to have a screenshot of it. Maybe i can see than whats wrong on my side.
