Is it worth splitting the two as it does look rather busy. Mostly news is busy.
Maybe nice to have events as a separate thread for people to contribute to?
Not a bad idea per se, but here's the rub: creating boards takes a toll on the database, from what I've learned, and creates a more chaotic structure. So I try to keep them at a minimum.
What we *could* do though, is pin upcoming events?

Or perhaps move posts from the disused WebCPC presentations to Demos?
