If someone can, it's "Pentagon". This is his 464+.

Sorry to dig this up again guys but I'd still love to identify this software, that image looks amazing. Oh well I guess it's not to be :(

never seen that demo/picture before.

Perhaps it's Pentagon's own transfer.

The image looks like  mode 1 unless that's because it's from a distance... ?

I'd love to see it on the real transfer. It certainly looks amazing quality.

The screen looks mode 0 to me and it looks very similar to a some tests that i made a few years ago.

I was testing colour interlaces, using a similar method how the digitalized images were made in an amiga with a digiview video digitizer. You took a piture and split the 3 RGB channels; then in the CPC+, you change the palette (and the image if you have enough ram) every frame, to R, G and B. In the CRT, the screen flicker a lot, but every photo that i took, it gave that superb photorealistic look.

according to many ZX spectrum fans or even MSX fans, 256x192x2+attributes is supposed to be high resolution and CPC is supposed to be a very low-rez sh**stain..

But I guess this 192x256x16 (rasters?) Amstrad PLUS fullscreen is actually some sort of high resolution, for an 8bit...
;D

Never seen too.
No idea about the resolution or number of colors. At this distance, and the fullscreen it's like a low res Amiga pic. The hairs, the dress and glove are amazing, + palette make it possible ;)

Sounds like I'm not the only one who would love to see this on the real hardware.

For a best color rendering, it's needed to remove all texts. (title, date, girl name, bottom informations)
Then, processing like you done with the 16 colors for the background only.
Finally, insert the title logo using the hard sprite palette.

Just killing the red text must be good ;)

Using Hard Sprite ??? Do you think Hard Sprite are existing to hide misery ?
I don't think so...

With Hard Sprite, Make a big Effect !!! ;)

Hard sprites are also perfect for small bits effects that may need more smoothness and details.

like lipps, eyes, tits and ... well that sort of things. :P

beside those, it adds a few extra colours...
16 colours is few but it is possible to cheat with a picture like thise one...
Can use some inks just for the red text and lipps and use some rasters then.

With hardsprite you can get the eyes with a slightly different blues choice but it seems the original picture uses t he same sort of blues for the background, logos and eyes...

Anyway this sort of picture may not need that much a lot of different hues...
B&W&greys (leather, cloths, and you always need B&W anyway for contrast)Skin, blue and hairs...

The skin is actually mostly white...
Pure red is only used for title and release date (this one can be discarded) so the red title and lipps don't cros vertically (not on same scanlines at all) which can help to gain an extra ink (pink) for lipps.

Due to the picture's design it is quite limited otherwise on the raster/palette changes anyway, most main palettes/hues are used on the whole verticality (skin, Black&white, blues)

QuoteDo you think Hard Sprite are existing to hide misery ?
;D well, that's a clever and easy use for them anyway...

You do realize she's now nearly 90 years old?

Actress Honor Blackman yes... but the character Pussy Galore is timeless, in my mind (and DVD collection) she has not aged a day. ;)

also, the one I posted... is this a real photo or a fake ? Not sure.
