Now finally babas palace arrive in the gx4000.(with the panthomz keys preference).

Fully playable with pad, it have take me  a lot of hours compiling making the enter code subrutine work perfectly.

So enjoy :)

Nice one.  8)

I would have released my version but couldn't see a easy way to get hold of the authors.  :(

@dragon  has done a fantastic job.  8)

I have however made a couple of changes to it.  ;D

I've made it so you can skip the intro with joypad 1 button 1 or button 2.

I've also removed the level codes and made it so you can enter the number of the level you want to play, saves me having to try and remember codes or write them down.  ;)

The input is still four digits, but you can leave what you don't need blank or insert a zero, - - 10 or 0010 for level 10, -100 or 0100 for level 100.

Here is another game, this one is..

" SAS Combat Simulator ".

The game is now Joypad only.

Hold down joypad 1 Button 1 to use grenades, joypad 1 Button 2 to pause / unpause.

You can keep pressing fire to pass high score table.

I've added a Trainer to give infinite lives and grenades.

I have such fond memories of this, my first experience of a 'snake' type game. I look forward to trying it :)

Was that your first conversion Shane? How did it go?

I'm doing the most simple conversions...'dragon', 'Phantomz', and 'Urusergi' are doing all the hard stuff  ;)

I've done a handful before...
http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/games/converted-gx4000-cpr-the-topic/msg147508/#msg147508

And here are a couple more...

Alien Intervention:
A game from AA magazine (#91) Type-ins.
I modified the controls for use on GX4000 (Joystick / Gamepad) it was originally keyboard.

Helloween:
A game from AA magazine (#104) Type-ins.
Joystick / Gamepad control already.

I have played/tested both .cprs on a real GX4000.

Shane

Here is another game, this one is..

"The Bounty Hunter".

The game is now Joypad only.

Joypad 1 Button 2 to pause / unpause.

Console Pause Button to Quit.

I've included a Trainer to give infinite lives, however if you choose a normal game and then change your mind, you can use the inbuilt cheat to give infinite lives.  ;)

Cheat Mode
Pause the game with Joypad 1 Button 2, then press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, FIRE BUTTON 1, then unpause with Joypad 1 Button 2.

Phantomz

Here is another game, this one is..

"Power Boat Simulator".

The game is now Joypads only.

Trainer = Joypad 1 Button 1 for YES, Joypad 1 Button 2 for NO.  ( can't change trainer text ).

Joypad 1 Button 2 to pause / unpause.

I can't remap quit option due to compression.

Phantomz

Here is another game, this one is..

"Shockway Rider".

The game is now Joypad/s only.

Console Pause Button to Select Practice.

Practice level select = Joypad 1; 1=1, 2=2, Up=3, Left=4, Right=5, Down=6   Joypad 2; 1=7, 2=8.

Whilst ingame, Joypad 1 Button 2 for Music / sfx.

I've included a Trainer for Infinite Lives, and Invulnerability.

Phantomz

Here is another game, this one is..

"Grell And Falla".

The game is now Joypad only.

Joypad 1 Button 2 to Swap between characters

Console Pause Button ( P ) to Pause

Joypad 2 Button 1 ( G ) to Quit

The 64k version and 128k version is in the cpr so it should work ok on the 464 plus and 6128 plus ok.

The game is still Joypad only on those machines too due to the controls being remapped.

The game has a inbuilt cheat mode but this only works on 128k machines.

* CHEAT MODE
On the MAGICSTREET screen (for 128K version only) type the word "MIDSUMMERNIGHT" (QWERTY keyboard), the border will flash and a menu will appear.

****** OPERATION THUNDERBOLT ******

I asked @Urusergi to help do a conversion of " Operation Thunderbolt " for the CPC as the game was compressed so I couldn't work on it.

I prefer the look of the original and it's what I played as a kid, Urusergi was kind enough to do this for me.  8)

The original version he did, was joystick and keyboard, you could redefine the keys to joypad 2, but you couldn't redefine player 2 start button to joypad 2, because of this I asked Urusergi to make a couple of changes.

I asked him to change the default key set in HEX to make both Joypad/s enabled by default, and you can also continue with both joypads now.  ;D

I also asked him to apply the crosshair fix.

****** UPDATE ******

Game defaults to gamepads so just press joypad 1 button 1 or 2 to start.  ;)

Joystick = Joypad 1
Keybaord = Joypad 2
Player 1 Continue = Joypad 1 Button 1
Player 2 Continue = Joypad 2 Button 1

Pause with Console Pause Button / Any button to unpause

The following rar includes the normal version of the game and also a version with the crosshair fix.

Can someone please explain me the difference between these 3 releases ? (well i think i got the last one, but just to be sure, but i don't know what are the difference between the first 2)

The first version is the cpc version by Urusergi, this is joystick and keyboard, you can redefine the keys to joypad 2, but you can't redefine player 2 start button to joypad 2.

The second version is the gx4000 /  plus version with crosshair turned on.

The third version is the cpc version ( UPDATED ), the game now defaults to both Joypads, and you can also continue with both joypads now.

I hope that clears things up.  ;D

has anyone got a recent archive of all conversions in a single ZIP file?

If so, any chance it could be uploaded to te wiki page for convenience?

@gaos74 Asked for joystick support in "Galaxia " so I thought I'd convert it to the GX4000  ;D

GALAXIA

The game is now joypad only.

Pause the game with Joypad 1 Button 2, any button to unpause.

I've included a Trainer for infinite lives.

Phantomz

Here is another version of....

GALAXIA

It's the same as the previous version, apart from you press fire 2 to start and skip pass the highscore table.

I've made this second version as I noticed that when you get game over , the game would start again due to fire being pressed in game, therefore you would go to the speed select screen instead of staying on the title screen.

Hopefully this second version will stop this happening.  ;)

Ahh Yes I missed the Big M on my MorphOS machine as it does not speak nice to MegaUpload and similar sites. I have now downloaded it from my Mac :)

Thanks Shane :)

Considering how many keys and options exist in the menu, I know I am not up to the challenge, but woudl anyone else please take a look at

Tankbusters by Design Design software?

It was one of the first games I bought for my CPC 464 back in the mid '80s and I'd love to play this on my GX4000 again in 2018.

Thanks
