This seems to have slipped under everyone's radar, but CNGSoft has been working on a CPC conversion of the Spanish Spectrum game Duck Out:

And here's a YouTube video that he uploaded back in February:

Preview of "Duck Out" for CPC (20150223)
A game that stars a cartoon duck that batters enemies with a frying pan has to be interesting! :laugh:

Carnivius

Looks fun.  Nice sprite design.  Never seen the Spectrum game til now.
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

AMSDOS

Will Elmer Fudd feature in the game?  :)
* Using the old Amstrad Languages :D   * with the Firmware :P
* I also like to problem solve code in BASIC :)   * And type-in Type-Ins! :D

It's been one million years since I last posted here (university is a harsh mistress) and I'm positively surprised to find this thread!

That video is a bit out of date, however. This one's newer:

"Duck Out" @ CPC - 20150504 - YouTube
The music (recycled from "Justin") is a placeholder, I'm still waiting for proper tracks to be written, because I'm no musician  :( But well, at least the game is now faster than on the Spectrum (how could they somehow make it slower on a machine with half the VRAM size escapes me) and more complete: the original had no scoring, no sound, no music... several things I discovered during the development of the port (for example, unused graphics) suggest that the original game was badly rushed and released.

EDIT: I kept editing the post because the video link kept getting mangled  ???

You achieved a great framerate. Congrats.

The game seems very enjoyable.

"AY-chromosome"? I've seen more intelligent spammer bots... Now I'm not sure. Is this legit or not?

Oh well. "Duck Out" was indeed featured in RetroMadrid 2015:
