Fer et Flammes (ubisoft)

The crpg addict (http://crpgaddict.blogspot.fr/) had to play with "Fer et Flammes" and i was very happy because i really like this game and i never finished it (i was quickly lost).
But bad luck, he gives up because he had trouble to simply launch a new game with emulator 

Here my question is someone already finished this game ?

obviously issue is not to finish the game but to actually start it...

Jokes appart how did he fail ?
You need to create an empty disk to save party.
at what point it didn't work ?
What emulator did he use ?

I remember this guy having issues with other system emulators.
Someone provide him with an empty disk image ready to use, and some instructions, and he should be fine right?

I think he was not really motivated to play with f&f with all technical problems he have at start.

Well, Fer & Flamme is notoriously buggy, especially with cracked versions. Your best bet is to use a clean dump, but even then it's a bugs nest

As a side note, I did play it back then & got pretty far (I had infinite patience at the time). I never finished it, but obviously someone did (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&onglet=fin&num=864), so it should be feasible.
It is a very cool game & the only serious alternative to Ultima on the CPC, but the bugs....

Wow, well done for finishing this buggy and huge game! I never quite managed to play it as a kid, but I remember very well the "Memory full" Basic errors while playing.
