I've been on the look out for Spike in Transvyania and Slightly Magic for my Codemasters collection but have never seen physical CPC versions bar Cartoon Collection compilaiton on eBay.

Had anyone got individual copies of these and if so, could you photograph them for me please so I know they exist and I'm not wasting my time.

Many thanks in adbance.

I have a huge doubt about spike but to my opinion, slightly magic (on of my favourite codemaster game) single release doesn't seem to exist. If anybody have AA reviews about thoses games it could be interesting to learn more about them.

Don't think AA reviewed Slightly Magic but ACU reviewed it in 92.

I'm with you though, I've yet to see a standalone release for the CPC although a google image search does pull up a standalone front cover for the Speccy version.

There's a good chance it never got a standalone CPC release and got ported over from Speccy for the compilation. It certainly looks that way graphically. Even the C64 version looks like a Speccy port but there's box scans for a standalone version of that too.
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Both were reviewed in AA but there's speculation they were reviewed from the Cartoon Collection. AA reviewed Slightly Magic for Issue 75 and Spike in 76.

Paul Griffths who coded Spike says he's got copies and promised me one but I've not heard from him in a good while (he seems to have been out of touch) so I can't confirm nor deny a individual release.. (I'm told that the C64 version of Grell and Fella was only to go on a compilation while the CPC and Spectrum versions were individually released)..

Looks like until this is confirmed, I've only got two Codies to go before I finish my collection (Olli and Lissa 3 and Wrestling Superstars, but I have the former on my eBay watch list).

(and Shaun M Neary - if my joking about on Xyphoe's stream offended you so much you needed to press the block button, I apologise)
