Hey all, so at the age of 5 I got my Amastrad cpc 464, used it basically every day until I hit 8 and got a master system, would still periodically go back to it though as it held a giant spot in my heart!
Sadly when moving out, I found out my mum had thrown it away, needless to say, I was devistated!
Now I am 34, and there's been 1 game I have always wanted to replay, yet sadly have no idea of the name!
I have tried searching for it many times, yet don't know enough to discover the name.
So here is the little amount of vauge info I remeber, hoping a wizard will help!

The story -
A guy moves to a new city (I think, or just leaves school) and has to find a job to earn money and live.

Game play -
Start on an overhead view of a city (town?) map, where you wander to diffrent places and enter the building to perform the job.
The game switches to an isometric view, or side scrolling (can't remeber if it was just one of these or diffrent for diffrent jobs?) where you had to carry out a task to get paid.

An example of game play -
Enter post office from "World map" have to advoid diffrent stamping presses as big as the charecter to go get an envelope, then bring it back to the front basket. If you failed, back to world map and a life lost (I think). If you succeed, back to the world map and some cash added to score. On to the next job....

There is very little more info I can give sadly.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated!

I can't think of any game matching that description, but am very curious now.

My first thought while reading your description was Super Sleuth Grumpy Grumphrey.
But it doesn't sound like that's the one.

Something you could do (if you really wanna find it, and have time on your hands), is to visit CPC-power and select the old years one by one, and select "Game" in the category and then simply browse through the pages.

Thank you for the replies, much appreciated!

Sadly neither of those two games, I do wanna try both of them now though, especially Super Sleuth Grumpy Grumphrey looks awesome!

Will take your advice and casualy go through the lists!
Will update if I find!

Any more suggestions of what game it could be are very welcome!
