I apologize in advance in case this has been already covered on the forum. Yesterday a friend of mine sent me the following pic, that popped-up while he was searching on google for some sci-fi android-themed movie. He thinks it's a CPC graphic image:

I guess he could be right, maybe a mock-up, anyway some stuff seems to me definitely CPC (MODE 1 fonts first of all)... Anyone know something? Never know about this game...  something new? Maybe from the demo scene?

Huuum... the upper part would be mode 0, but the letters are mode 1. The lower part is even more especial, with a color gradient difficult to imagine in a Mode 1 Amstrad CPC screen. Then, if you go to the link in the screenshot you arrive here:

It seems like a film, or something like that  :D

I did some googling and founded something  VERY interesting.
Now, actually it's not a game but, for what I've understood, a video promo (short movie) for a new video system called Splitvision. I have also fund an advance teaser where indubitably (IMHO) there are other Amstrad graphics (not only fonts, the loading color bars at the very beginning and also look at the final frame on the right side of the claim "Follow a new path" at 2:44, it seems to me a Mode0 typical Cpc image):

By the way Jason, indubitably your friend's intuition was right, I found this on the Trivia of the IMDb page of the title:

I think it's very cool. I also like the teaser, love the way it looks "retro". And last but not least: music by Andrew Powell (do you remember Ladyhawke? ;-). Really cool stuff. It's great to know someone it's promoting and utilizing Amstrad also this way and in different field apart from gaming...

Any news on this?

I received a press release by e-mail a couple of weeks ago, and typically of me, I forgot all about it until now. It's a collaboration between Split-Vision Development and Bitzarro Games (who developed Zombi Terror Reloaded), and it's meant to be a multi-part game where each part is played on a different machine - so the first part is played on the CPC, the second part is played on the ZX Spectrum, and the third part is played on the C64 or MSX.

The game is intended to be released initially as a reward for backers of Split-Vision's Indiegogo campaign, although it doesn't seem to be doing to well right now.

In the meantime, here are a couple of screenshots that were sent to me in the press release:

That's a very interesting concept. Of course who'd want to muck around with a Speccy or a c64, but interesting nonetheless. Could be fun!

Coincidentally I've posted about it in another recent topic dedicated to the project and the game (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/games/'here-we-go-again-rubinot'-game/)
I've contributed cause really think the game is appealing and the split-vision audiovisual method promising... Don't know if this was already spotted here too but, for example, the promo sci-fi promo released on the web includes various retro-gaming aspects (I guess even a c64 is visible on screen) and the 'Out of this screen' series to be funded with campaign features an interesting episode where the protagonists in the future should face with a regression to 8-bit technology (for what I've understood):

some cool stuff I believe, and the girl is incredibly cool  8) ...
