Hey guys! Just a heads up, but this month's Retro Gamer magazine (out today in shops - issue 167) has an article written by yours truly, it's the 'Minority Report' again but instead of the 6128 Plus - it's the CPC 6128! Looking at 6128 only games and 'hidden gems'.

And I've tried not to pick too obvious choices, so hopefully people on the scene like Odie, the Fres guys, Elmar Krieger, etc if they're still around and care will be happy.... ;)

A quick vid I did on my channel promoting this ->

Hope you guys enjoy it if you pick up the mag! :)

Oh forgot to mention 2 things.....

(1) There's a big plug for the CPC Wiki in the main article! Wasn't sure if I'd be allowed to slip that in.
So I hope Gryzor will be happy :D

(2) I took and chose all the screenshots, but I didn't do the picture of the CPC machine - which, if you read the article, you will have spotted it's a pic of a 464 not a 6128  :picard:
Not my doing!!!

I'll tell it to Odie. If I don't forget...  8)

I groaned when I saw that howler - and they made another one. The introductory paragraph below the picture of the CPC464 reads, "Out went cassettes, in came three-inch disks, 64k RAM and a new look." Erm, I think that should read "128K RAM"... ::)

They do make a lot of errors with the Amstrad, same happened in the big book they did, showing a 464 for a 6128 and vice versa

My mate got a "Back to the 80s" book for this birthday recently.
Browsing through the retro computers section, it said "Amstad 64"....  twice!   :picard:

Had a quick flick through in Smith's but haven't bought it (yet). It looks like a great article! :D
An expanding array of hardware available at www.cpcstore.co.uk (and issue 4 of CPC Fanzine!)

Cool. I'd picked up a copy at the weekend and noticed there was some CPC content, but haven't got round to a proper read yet. Great to see you getting more content in the mag!  :D

That's not my fault! The team proof read and usually make minor edits to the articles before it goes to print after I submit. Sometimes to fit into a strict space, removing stuff for legal reasons, etc or they feel something could be written better.

I did write that introduction, and it said "an extra 64k of RAM" along with some other bits they may have edited out to fit into the space and didn't realise the mistake I'm guessing.

I only noticed a few very minor changes in the article though, so that's good. There were quite a few changes in my previous article back in October on the Prehistorik II piece, which I feel read more professionally, but didn't read as good making it a bit confusing and not as 'fun'. However I ain't got no English degree :D So I defer to their superior grammar knowledge. I guess sometimes it backfires. They have a ton of work to do to meet deadlines, it's a stressful job I'm sure.
