Nice find and indeed not nearly long enough. Pirates! was -in my eyes- quite the thing, colossal in its scope, I'd certainly like to know more...

The Cool thing is, that its written in Basic and enhanced with RSX.
And so cleanly written, that minimum work was needed to patch the files so that it works great in an X-Mass Subfolder; no need for Disc-Swapping, practically no Loading Times... Tested with CUBEMDOS on an Winape-HD-Image...

Now, as there is no time pressure, i wonder if the Sprite Code can be optimized or it could be used as base for a CPC Plus version, using Sprites and Scrolling...
The ST-Version had an nice enhancment; if you own more than one ship than you can split them up to two fleets and leave one fleet in a harbour for later use..
