hiya everyone, new member here(been browsing for years here and elsewhere but finally signed up today)
Need help on the name of a game I can remember-
Comes back from around 85/86 and was a text adventure, was in a clamshell case and the cover was a sky blue colour with I'm sure black graphics on it(front cover was pretty basic) and the text adventure was about some kind of circus/funfair that had some dark secret
Not much to go on but I remember borrowing it many moons ago, doubt it was a home brew game as using clamshell cases would have been unusual at the time
Not sure if anyone knows anything

Cholo

Im guessing on Jinxter by Magnetic Scrools/"Rainbird"(Firebird), aka this one:

Its not a clamshell i think but at least its in a blue box. If that not the one, the check the other "Rainbird" games as the text adventures also came in the same blue box. But it could also be something completely else as there was a mountain of text adventures back then.

Thanks for the guess but sadly not,was way before those days from rainbird, was an early game as think it came out before AA launched

You could browse the games database on http://www.cpc-power.com after category and year.Maybe you could identify it by a screenshot.

I'll take a look thanks but think it's going to be one of those games with a limited release that's now forgotten through time but never say never ;-)

Even very obscure games have a listing on CASA, but I can't see anything that quite fits if you're sure about those two dates...

The closest I can see, matching the theme, is Ballyhoo... but I think you'd remember if you played an Infocom game... plus the box doesn't fit.

I would say it was Circus by Brian Howarth... but as far as I know, that never got a CPC release...

Thanks for those comments.was one of the first games I borrowed from a neighbour when we both found out we each owned amstrads and he showed me the mag AA(so I first bought it from issue 4 onwards) so I certainly played it on my 464
