Just a quick version of the facts for people who doesn't understand spanish:

  • Javier from 4MHz makes an agreement to colaborate on LUEGOLU3GO after meeting Raúl in RetroPixel Málaga.
  • Javier shows Raúl a mockup of how they can improve Nogalious using some graphics from one of their current projects (Malasombra).
  • There is a misunderstanding and Raúl thinks they can use the graphics in the CPC version of Nogalious.
  • 4MHz makes an announcement about their projects and Raúl gets mad when they see Malasombra graphics.
  • Raúl sends Javier a legal document written by his attorney to remove the graphics from Malasombra (!!!).
It's VERY LOGICAL, right?  :picard2:

I'm happy 4MHz guys are clear now, but I don't expect anything good coming from LL. Stay away from them, is not worth it.
Released The Return of Traxtor, Golden Tail, Magica, The Dawn of Kernel, Kitsune`s Curse, Brick Rick and Hyperdrive for the CPC.

If you like my games and want to show some appreciation, you can always buy me a coffee.

Was it really? Or did they just patch things over?

I mean, even if they did, the fact that all this happened is ridiculous...

IMHO LL has always been a bit full of shit. The new Dinamic, that KS (bad start, funny ending), getting collaborators from all over the scene, ...is all a bit BS.

It was never for me, so good luck and *ignore*. After this last episode I can't help it, their reputation is clear and I think the sooner they stop messing with the retro community, the better for all.

Stay away from them.

Hell of a misunderstanding to be bringing threats of legal action into the argument but yeah ok am just glad 4mhz can proceed with making lovely games.
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

I don't care who is the good guy and who is the bad guy, but seeing how it was handled, i know who i will support by buying the game...

I agree with you, LL doesn't seems to a good game studio: too much hype and too few facts. Nogalious is a very mediocre game and they are presenting the game like something big.

Yeah, I didn't really like the way they went about things. And who coughed up the final €15k in the Kickstarter to suspiciously take them over the line in the final 2 days?

Something tells me it wasn't genuine backers....

Ah, interesting. Didn't realise that they'd been up front (or rather found out...) on this topic.

Once those people call in their debts, I wonder how much of the campaign money is left? Enough to develop and publish the game still? Kickstarter takes 5% of the proceeds and they may lose another few % on their payment fees. If they need to pay those people back, they could be down around €1500.

I did think that their target was a bit ambitious for an unknown retro game.

These games look damn hawt.

I truly hope that there is a variant for 512KB Plus Carts (i.e., .crt files for GX4000).

Historically, Spanish coders do not create on the cpc + / gx4000 range, probably du to their poor success in Spain. I have always appreciated their use of mode 0 and mode 1 on the classic hardware.

Disapointed. The gfx look nothing like the trailer and there's no snow.

Another amazing game... this looks like one of the best CPC years ever  ;D

Rhino

What a trailer! very professional, although a little long the initial part for my taste, I would prefer to see a little more of the game :)
