New CDT games with UNSUPPORTED Protections
« on: 04:19, 17 June 09 »
New games done with UNSUPPORTED formats by our dear César Nicolas Gonzalez :

Franck bruno's Boxing original retail tape :

Ahaha Elite has been protecting at least one game on CPC !!! That one IS indeed ;
i had no luck to convert this game i had from JMD1200, a french fellow pal collecting games.
In fact, this game is using.....MFM data blocks !!! Yes you're reading well, MFM which normally
is used on disk versions of games ! WOW ! It's stated as Direct Recording block when using TAPIR, the spectrum tool for tapes.

Elite :

Yeessss !!! This game also use a huge direct recording block (34kb in size!) but now it's done
in CDT. Bleepload v3 flavour ;)

Spiky harold :

Same scheme used, bleepload v3 with musical loader ;)

The Red Arrows from Database software. The first CPC tape game my father bought back in
1985. In fact all the blocks are standard, BUT..... there are some pure tones between the titlescreen and the main program code to load. Without those, the game refuses to work.

Now thanks to César, IT'S DONE !!!!

You can pick up the games on Phénix Informatique, the biggest site with the biggest tapes and disk collection over the net !!!

And the last one : Impossamole from Gremlin in CDT !

This game is made of 14300 blocks ! most blocks are 28 bytes long, interleaved with 'PURE TONE' blocks.
Each level is made of an average 2865 blocks 8| The game is running on JAVACPC 1.63 and CPCE latest Beta.
It's available on Phénix Informatique :

Heh, sweet...

New stuff coming every day, someone should keep an archive with EVERYTHING and then we could keep it updated...

Phenix is bigger and better than ADATE and TACGR.

3800 games more than 1000 original tapes, and almost the same about original disks.

Well I have to say - I never went to the games section of Phenix before, but it's awesome!!!!! I mean it!

This issue is, in relation to what I said before - there's no complete archive one could download and do away with. I guess CPCGamesCD could be the de facto carrier of a complete archive as far as games are concerned, but this leaves us with the utilities...

Oh, that would be really sweet indeed, a one-stop (ok, three-stop) solution... Hey, Miguel, if you're reading this, how about it? :)

Does anyone have the tape for "Druid" - "Firebird"?
It should also have a musical loader.

When someone has it, please dump it as WAV.

Lol, not to mention the .TZX Vault.  Pheonix now has many more, it seems pointless to update the Amstrad Tapes/disks
on the Vault.  I still need to check again to see if there's any gaps to plug with WIP CDTs and stuff on my Hard disk.

I've been out of the loop for a while.  Nice to see all this goodness going on at the other side.

Ah, Tony (WoS Preservation Team member) over at ZX Software has it, should be able to get him to make a WAV.

Check out his other Amstrad stuff, we probably need to dump many of his tapes.
