I've just heard news that the Orion Prime web site has been updated, and Targhan is now taking orders for the French version of the game.

There are a few screenshots of the game on the site. Super Sylvestre has done an absolutely fantastic job with the graphics! I can't wait for it to be released in September! (I know it's going to be excellent, because I saw the preview at the recent Amstrad Expo. )

English,german and spanish mates have to wait a bit, they seems to have planned versions in theses languages

I just wish the 3" stock doesn't run out before the english version is out, though...

Advices

• This game takes advantage of the ESX sound system (Enhanced Speaker eXperience), it is thus advised to listen to the real speaker sound (frequency and mono mixing optimisation).
• The graphics are designed for the CPC color monitor, its color balance, contrast, pitch, and sharpness.
• The game requires 128k of memory (DKTronik compatible), on an Amstrad CPC fitted with a 3" or 3"5 drive.
• The game will run on any Amstrad CPC : 464, 472, 664 and 6128. However, it can also be played on Amstrad Plus or some emulators, with lesser performance.

Grim's website notes that the colour reproduction on the cpc plus is slightly different to that of the cpc, in addition the cpcplus monitor is slightly different too, so the final image you will get will be slightly different.

So this may explain why it will not be as good.

I think when he says it will not play as well on an emulator it is for a similar reason; the emulators don't necessarily reproduce the colours as accurate; something i will be fixing in Arnold.

Orion Prime has been shipped in French ! So far the reviews are very, very, very good. The French DSK will be available on Octobre, the 28th.

Can I help you in any way to create the german version? Just send me a part of the text and I will translate it. (I'm asking because I heart that there have been problems...).
