Well, it seems to me that the interest is real. Plus I'm sure that a lot of people would be interested in a reprint, even though they don't visit the CPC Wiki forums. I'm sure that spreading the message via CPC Wiki, CPC Reviews, CPC Rulez, CPC Power, Indie Retro News, Amstrad.EU... would gather way more than enough interest. I would think that the problem would be the opposite, in fact: to be able to get a physical copy to everybody that wants one.
At any rate, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

To save on discs, how about offering the box, book & sticker for the disc. That way, those who have a surplus of CPC discs can copy the disc image onto it, apply sticker & that's it. You have your own boxed copy :)

I have suggested that too. Now, I'm afraid that peoples use a poor floppy to stick the label on it and don't take care if the disc integrity is 100% OK.
Would it be possible to send you the disc? I own a completely boxed and sealed package of 3"-Maxell discs. But I'm not sure if I ever want to open it, as there are some special memories connected with it... :-)

What is your setup?
In the past i have used a cpcbooster connected via serial to a pc and arkos tools to write disks.
This also works with a minibooster.
There are also programs that will read a dsk from 3.5" disc and write them to 3".
There may also be one that reads data from cassette and writes it to disk (so you can connect to pc via soundcard).

Don't have a serial cable, mini booster or a 3.5" floppy. Only 2 6128's and 2 464's with an external 3" drive :(

I used a program called DOSCOPY to copy a program to extract DSK files from PC format 3.5" discs to 3" discs on the CPC... and it worked.

Hey there, I just wanted to chime in to let you guys know I have received my copy of R-Type 128k, so I assume the rest will arrive soon.
Not much of a surprise, but the packaging is glorious and it's well worth owning one of these. Needless to say, this is one game that will proudly stand next to Orion Prime and Athanor. I was so gutted when I realized I missed the original print (well, it was only available at a meeting, so it was mostly unaccessible...), but now the universe is back in order :)
