Help Needed please..
I'm looking up old, obscure adventures and am looking for a DSK file of Rick Hanson, Special Agent by Robico. It was reviewed in Amstrad Action #24.
However, I can't find a copy online anywhere - both my sources of CPC game images.
Anyone able to help please? Many thanks

Hmm. I hadn't realised it was planned for release on Amstrad. I thought it was only a BBC Micro game. But, as you say it got an Amstrad Action review https://cpcrulez.fr/GamesTest/rick_hanson-special_agent.htm (albeit not a particularly positive one).

Will keep my eyes open for it.

Village of Lost Souls is the only Robico Amstrad game I've seen https://cpcrulez.fr/GamesTest/village_of_lost_souls.htm

Thanks for the reply..

I saw that game you mention on CPC Power.. yet that one wasn't reviewed in AA.

I'd say perhaps it was never released on Amstrad in the end, but in fact I've found a reference to the Amstrad version in Adventure Probe so it definitely must've been...

It was reviewed elsewhere (and is also heavily referenced all over the place)

Robico took great offence at that review and sent a letter to The Pilgrim that threatened to sue for libel! (If you want to read it, it's in the December 1987 issue on page 79.)

That's a nice little extra bit of information. :)  I must admit, I'd visited that page (I think maybe even prompted by you) in the past for the Peter Killworth "beef"... but I think I'd missed the very similar Robico letter!!

I was reading that one only yesterday... they sure did take offence.

That was a fun story to read!  Sadly, back in those days I was a little schoolboy and I had not idea of English, otherwise I would have enjoyed those things so much. I knew that the world was full of English adventure games thanks to some adult people that were able to import and play them in Spain, but they were extremely few. Rick Hanson was totally unknown to me.

Peter Kilworth always did have a beef with Pilgrim - I'm going to give his games a going over..

So that must mean there should be a copy or two out there somewhere..
(talking of Peter Kilworth, I can barely find any Topologika games out there either)
