Played Sultan's Maze for a playtrhough video. Got through it in 20 minutes
Not much longer than it takes to load the game.
Favorite CPC games: Count Duckula 3, Oh Mummy Returns, RoboCop Resurrection, Tankbusters Afterlife

I used a disc image as I was doing a video recording for my channel

Well yeah, cos it's nuts to wait the 17 minutes for the cassette tape to load for that game in this day and age.  :)

I don't mind waiting but because I record using an emulator, (no way of recording from real hardware yet), makes sense to use disc images where possible

So, today I played a game that I'd never heard of before today, and clearly had no idea what to do (outside of having translations of commands handy).  This is the result.

Really enjoyed this game when I was a much younger.

Haven't been playing much recently as been on holiday.  I played switchblade on GX4000 a couple of weeks back and got further than I have ever done before without cheating.

The Covenant almost traumatized me when I was young. It was so hard, the monsters were scary to me :). And that dreadful sound when your energy draws out... It all seems quite ridiculous now though :).

You certainly are, I've put so many hours into the CPC version, but never completed, which is odd as I've completed the C64 and arcade version [emoji848]

My history with Shinobi is a sad one...
This game is in my top 5 of all time, and all 5 of them are on CPC.

Gryzor

I think I had reached the end in the arcade version, but never quite beat it. I remember the CPC version being more difficult, so kudos.

Did the Halloween thing a bit late.

So I continued on with Rana Rama.  Managed to finish it, and then it starts over, only a bit harder and with different glyph positioning.  I did quit after 3 hours, I tend to get tired of a single game after a while (depending on how good/interesting the game is).

Loved Rana-Rama as a kid, never did complete it, but sunk hours into it. There's so many games on the Amstrad that just loop, Bomb Jack, P47, 1943, Ghosts 'n Goblins. Tonight I've been playing the new games released for the 2018 retro game dev competition, and the top five games including a Tetris style puzzle game is brilliant. There's also a Gauntlet clone that's quite good [emoji106][emoji2532]

Tried (and largely failed) to play some Karnov, because it's apparently Karnovember.  Karnov is HARD.

Gryzor

Used to give me nightmares; because on one hand I really loved the looks of it as a kid and I really wanted to play it, but on the other hard it was so hard I never got anywhere...

Target Renegade 1 loop clear (and then getting bodied on 2-1)

Trying to play lemmings on my 464 but recording to cassette via the cdt converted to wav and then going to my stereo isnt working sadly. Trying to record 1942 now for a bit of pew pew pew. 13:31 mins though!? Ouch.

VincentGR

I am trying to make some copies from yesterday too.
I think I must set the azimuth of my recorder like the CPCs  :-X

I spent some of this weekend playing the first three of the six games in the Aventures du KA series:
This series of games seems to be relatively unknown even in its native France. All the games are very similar to each other, with the graphical theme being the only significant difference - but they've proved to be an entertaining diversion nonetheless.
