But while nowadays many stuff are in french, at the time CPC used to learn you english if you were french...

The docs are good.

At school here in the UK, French is normally the first other language we learned.
But, with memories fading and without using it, we forget how to speak or read it, and sometimes these docs
are too complex for our simple lessions.

We mostly know how to ask how to go to the Train Station

If I started to write French here you would be laughing all day.

That's exactly it - my French was good when I was a kid, but now I don't ever get to use it unless I'm in France.

And even then the French either ask if I'm Belgian or they just speak back to me in English.  >:(

Maaaan, blood bowl! I used to play that in the Berlin league with my Team of Wervolves, the "Moonlight Sensationals". Great memories from the past... Well I guess the Games Workshop reference in my nickname is obvious.  :D  And yes, the CPC teached me english as well. When we talked about the Pirates of the carribean in english lessons, guess who knew all the vocabulary and where from.  ;)  Sorry for the offtopic...

Well, I met one or two who did...
But many actually speak French like English cows...

Should have taken the Nurgle's Rotter team ! :D

Also what Pirates! game are you talking about ? Monkey Island is not ready yet for our CPCs... ;)

BTW a blood bowl game could be sweet indeed.
A PC-Dos version used to exist, also a Java version... yet the recent and modern fency 3D version is obviously unreachable for our beloved CPCs but...

As a turn based game, no need for fancy animations, would be like some kind of Space Crusade then...
And getting usable graphics may not be that hard to as most GW's games had a lot of awesome visuals...

But getting the rules turned into computer code may be quite difficult.
Perhaps getting a closer look to old Dos version or Java version may help..

Also such game could be great with a cpc-network mode...

sorry for the out of topic.
