I'm sure I've seen a topic on this already, but I can't find it now.
Is there a 3D Printer file for GX4000/Plus cartridge cases available?

Thanks for the reply, but isn't that just c4CPC cases?

Thanks Gerald, I assume it's the CPC_shell.zip?
Great! Now... where can I get 50 or 100 pieces?
Is it time to buy my own 3D printer? :)
Somewhere there should be a company doing that cases, I just don't know which one we should use. Any ideas?
I did get a few C4CPC cases made before, I used a guy on eBay, I'm trying to get a price now.

Let us know. If the number of cases is bigger, it may get cheaper.
Only got a price for a one of, so far £5.91 + £1.10 postage

Please report back on the result if you go ahead and order.
He replied "I could probably knock 20-25% off for multiples, maybe free postage"
hmmmmmm..... 6 pound per cartridges is not really cheap.... :-X
I don't think 3D printing is cheap, although they would be £4.43 with 25% off.
Hm..... thats 5,19 Euros.... hope the get down to 3 Euros per piece one day.

Have a look at look at my results on the thread below. Are you being offered FDM or SLS for that price? I'm interested in the result because if you get a good result it's a bargain and I'm in! Sounds a bit good to be true though :-X

I had some C4CPC cases printed by him, and they were OK, here's his details.
"Printed on a highly modified Orca 0.43 3D printer, in PLA, or ABS. I will also experiment with other materials if you have a preference for a specific material, however, I can't guarantee the quality of the part, and there would be a lead time while I'm waiting for the material to be delivered."

The details don't seem to be showing for some reason :(
I've had a look, that printer is FDM so it will be interesting to see how they turn out. If possible, can you post a picture when you receive any please? :)
For FDM printer you can also use @Shining (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=922) modified version : http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/amstrad-cpc-hardware/c4c4c-3d-printed-cartridge/msg163602/#msg163602

Well, I uploaded the files form CPC_shell.zip, but the gave an error, so I couldn't get a price/quote.
Any idea what went wrong?
did the zip open?
It opens for me, and I can view the images. Maybe try downloading again?
I'm opening in Windows 10 3D Print, I've just noticed that it comes up with an estimated cost of £11.05 for each half.
Holy smokes that's alot of money
what do you think?
Sorry, not sure if I can add more than 1 photo in one go.

Thanks for the pics! :)
Have you tried clipping the two halves together yet? Are the clips formed well enough to work?
They really look well. How is the stability?

Yes, they're not bad for clipping together.

"stability"? well it stayed stood-up while I took a picture of it lol :D, sorry, I assume "stability" is something to do with printing? I didn't print this, I got it printed for me :)
Haha, ok. Anyway they look great. :)
