I'm new at the world of Amstrad. I just got a cpc464+ recently and searching for information came across this forum. I sure I can learn a lot from you and perhaps help someone here.

Well done for getting a CPC+! If you're new to the CPC, then getting a PLUS machine is a great start!

What do you have planned for it? I mean did you buy it for games, or are you planning to do any programming or anything with it?

There's lots of great upgrades for the CPC these days, like the C4CPC cartridge emulator, the M4 Wifi & Disk emulator, and the X-Mem 512k upgrade... all made by people on this forum, so if you're looking to upgrade the machine, just mention it, and someone will point you in the right direction

Still here! Just waiting for the c4cpc to come, as I fried my original basic cartridge by inserting it upside down (I had opened the computer to fix the keyboard).
As soon as I get it I'll star testing. I know nothing about programming , so I just want to play a games.

Thank you for your answers. I'll have a look at everything that can be done and how. I have a friend who made an easy modification to his cpc464 (not plus) to add a mono conector to load games from mp3. But he's having some issues and the games don't load. With the "jack to tape" adapter the same games work. We'll have to check what's happening.


Excuse my english as I'm spanish. I also learn german, so there may be some interference between languages 😊. Just in case I say something wrong or that doesn't make sense.
