Hi All,

I see that the Wiki is still short 100 Euro's for maintenance etc.
I have three original sealed Amsoft 3"discs of the jewel case type which I am putting up for auction, bids starting at £10, with all proceeds to go to the Wiki. I have formatted other discs from the same box and they work perfectly. Any winning bids will be published (minus the members name if required) in the Wiki. If you wish PM me or respond via this post. This is open to all members worldwide.

Cheers,

Peter

I've just sent 50€, so come on guys, there's only 50€ left and I know you all love the CPCWiki!

I was talking with @ComSoft6128 the other day when he suggested the auction/contribution idea; extremely kind of him and very interesting as a donation mechanism, I'd say.

Btw, running costs are quite higher than the €500 listed on the donations page - that's a leftover from older days. Two servers plus software amount to slightly above €700 I think, but it doesn't matter really. I'll never push anyone to donate, unless I can really not afford funding the rest and risking losing part of the project.

But, thanks to @robcfg and to everyone else who helps in any way - I feel both humbled and proud (if ti makes any sense) every time a donation comes in!

Cheers
T

I sense a chill in here...

Possibly due to the title? I skipped over this thread several times because I just read "Amsoft 3 inch discs" and thought "don't need any" and continued to the next thread. I only stumbled here by accident when I clicked on the wrong title.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm good for disks finally. I've a batch coming to me in the next couple of weeks.

A few weeks ago, I finally got back into full time employment. So my donation just went through. Was nice to be able to give something back after all the Wiki has done for me over the last few years but especially the last year when I started getting back into using my Amstrad with real hardware.

Christmas does have me a little strapped now. So I'll try and get a bit more after the new year too. =)
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Gryzor

Thanks, mate. Really appreciated.

Of course, the concept is more like little-from-many than much-from-few, but thank you very much indeed! :)

Ah yeah, I get that. But because I'd been here so long, and been out of work for so long. I was just playing a little catch up.

Well, you know what they're saying1: every little helps, but every biggie helps big time!

1 not really a saying
