Hi all,
does anyone here have any experience (good or bad) with the site retrogamingworld.co.uk?

Not up to now, but their description of the 6128 is faulty. However, seems to be a serious page.

So do you get one of the foot pedals for Burnin Rubber?  ;)

No, I was actually looking for some Atari stuff, but I was getting no answer from my request e-mails. He answered my mails eventually, seems he was away for a few days.

Atari.... I start to remember more and more about it. Yesterday I found myself sitting in the restroom and thinking about the CPC version of Mutant Camels. And how to do it with a huge-ass, beautiful Camel Sprite. No, not on Plus, the regualar machine. Should even fit in 64 KB. Well, maybe  ;)

I know the graphics aren't exactly hi-detail, but the scrolling is amazingly fast and smooth on the Atari XL. That will be hard to match.

Not a problem, if I would have some Camel sprites (animations - means different phases, beautiful, huge-size - at least like on Atari). CPC is made for scrolling, don't know why people can't cope with it, it's just one CRTC register to adjust. Or two if you want byte-wise scrolling  :)
Actually a quick and dirty CMC (CPC Mutilated Camel) could be done quick. Neeeed some GFX thoug.

Hi,
I own and run RETROGAMINGWORLD and we are very much alive and well. I am after some gaming reviews for the much loved amstrad cpc if any one would like to submit any on our site. :)
Humbly yours.
Jon.

Just had a look at the site and think their hardware prices seem a little illogical, 464  £69.95, 664 £29.95 (no wonder it is sold out), 6128 £39.95 also sold out.

AH-HA, I just got it, things are cheaper when they are out of stock.

I tried to submit one but the form wouldn't send it

Sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread, but I wanted to wave a red flag here.

Avoid this store like the plague!
Placed an order on the 2nd, got order confirmed but nothing about dispatch.

Asked for updates on dispatch last week. Got a couple of emails back saying they'd get back to me. But it's the 18th so I'm none the wiser.

Claiming my money back via PayPal, order was immediately cancelled when I did.
Suspect to say the least.
Currently playing on: 2xCPC464, 1xCPC6128, 1x464Plus, 1x6128Plus, 2xGX4000. M4 board, ZMem 1MB and still forever playing Bruce Lee.
No cheats, snapshots or emulation. I play my games as they're intended to be played. What about you?

Hello.
Sorry for resurrecting.
I registered just to express my grievance with this site.
I ordered some magazines in mid October and they haven't arrived yet.
I live in Northern Europe. Usually items from Japan arrive in 2 weeks; from USA in 2-4; this store is in UK.
By now they should have arrived if carried by courier on feet who walks for 6 hours per a working day.
Staff does not respond.

While I can not state for certain that there is swindling going on, you know, might be Scottish pirates plundering ferries or something,
I won't step on this rake again.
This was my 1st and only purchase from this store. Luckily it wasn't a lot of money.

If you might be wondering "Why purchase at all in some obscure store?"
It is because there is no retro scene at all in country where I live - one guy in museum has retro computers - that's about it
and there are things you can't find on eBay
or if they show up there then crazy overpriced.
I had no problems with proxies or little stores from Japan so I thought I'd give UK store a try
Merry Christmas
