Could it be that the spring is of similar size as the Model M one?

I have neither, looking at your picture made me think of it.

Audronic,

I have a keyboard which I can dismantle to get you a spring.
Will have to dismantle it, but don't wont to "wreck" it completely. Will try this week end and if all is okay will sent it to you.

I have found a Spring on an old PC Keyboard that will do the trick.

Please don''t dismantle the Keyboard you have.
Thanks anyway

Hi Ray, Sorry to revive an old thread, but I have the same issue with my 664 that I'm restoring. I need 1 keyboard spring. Curious as to the type of keyboard you got your spring from?

Wayne.

@opticpow

I pulled apart about 20 keyboards (Modern PC type).
I don't remember what one it was as my workshop has Lots of old keyboards.
There is a photo earlier in the thread that shows an original Spring maybe that would help if you have some old keyboards to pull apart.
I don't know what keyboard that the replacement came from.

I will have a look.

Good luck Ray
