QuickCMD V2.3 released
1 October 2011, 4:19 am

And here we go again for a new tool release ! This time it's QuickCMD that got updated to version 2.3.

This adds support for a new command history to be used through UP and DOWN keys (was requested by many of you !). Also, a critical crash has been fixed with ROMS command when listing ROMs having corrupted names. And finally, the RSX got renamed to |Q for even faster switching from BASIC to QuickCMD.

As usual, if you experience problems or whatever, feel free to contact me. Last version can be downloaded here (also available in Productions section).

Pfew, I just-quick fixed the archive with a new bugfix in changelog :

Another critical problem (involving stability) has been fixed with direct drive parsing.

Basically, I recommend to everyone this version. All reported issues have been fixed now in QuickCMD !  8)

@TFM. What is wrong with 2.3 ? Check the changelog, previous version was 2.2 . Not my fault if QuickCMD and HxC are both fighting with same version numbers  :P

PS. That was a 3 weeks-rush with the tools. Now it's over and I can calm down ....

Thanks for your great work!!!!, partner.
Regards from Spain...
I'm user of BonnyDOS (yes, like our friend Miguelsky) and now fan of QuikCMD.
<<BonnyDOS+QuickCMD the best cpc tandem on amsdos>>.

My "request" for next v2.4: Please!! I'm a freak fan of CPC colours... I like your idea: contrast color versus AMSDOS-Basic yellow on blue... but in my opinion B/W or black on grey is a little bored while CPC has more funny colours...
Maybe blue on yellow? (inverse color); maybe blue on black? maybe colour select?
Black on Grey looks a little bad in my LCD connected through RGB to the CPC. :(
Really in this XXI century, I don`t use CRT monitor more. I need to take care of my eyes...

Thank You very much.

Oh, thank you for your kind comments  8)

Yeah maybe I could introduce some kind of user settings with 2.4 .. ;)

Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

Although, I've got so used to CTRL-TAB that you could put the RSX as |QUICKCMDBYNORECESSYEEEEHAH and it still wouldn't bother me  8)

Would be nice if wildcards could be used when setting file attributes, e.g.
