Title: New Yorker article - Printer problems
Post by: ComSoft6128 on 19:09, 11 February 18

Good article on printer design:https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/02/12/why-paper-jams-persist

Also the "Creation Myth" article near the bottom of the page Re. Xerox Parc and Apple is also interesting.

Cheers,

Peter

Fun fact about Xerox and Apple: I finished the book Dealers of Lightning the other night (good enough, but not great), and it appears that when Jobs got a glimpse of the PARC's work it was no casual demo or tour of the facilities. Turns out, Xerox had a stake in Apple and they were trying to do some sort of tech transfer!

Predictably, Xerox sold its share before Apple took off :D
