Probably one of the best AY music tracks I've heard:

I saw this yesterday, yes sounds lovely.

Sound is great, but I still don'T understand why anybody paid for a computer with that ugly "colourchanging" gfx ...

;D  It was cheap and before the CPC.

That is a wonderful tune, properly using the AY chip by not relying heavily on bass lines. Thanks for sharing.

What's going here? I don't understand how the creator is using the channels. It's incredibly complex use of the AY chip, but there are also sound effects too.
I never thought this would be from an AY chip. it's like there are 8 channels in there instead of 3!

The bass, drum and another instrument seem to be on one channel. It sounds like the pattern are intricately weaved in one another. The changes made by machine are quick enough that you don't notice them swapping between each other.

I could be wrong, but that's what it seems to me.

It's not that complicated (although very good melody) and it definitely doesn't use Yerzmyey 5-channel wizardry :)

Bass + drums (kick, snare hihat) = 1 channel
Accompaniment arpeggiated melody  = 1 channel
Lead melody and switching between 2 different instruments  = 1 channel

The sound effects are being produced by the beeper

The following is a great example of excellent AY usage without being too acid or technoey
