A1200.net has done exceedingly well via crowd funding and more especially for the Amiga community these last few years as not only did they smash a Kickstarter success for their new Amiga 1200 case Kickstarter, but more recently they have also pushed towards a keycap Kickstarter success as well. Thankfully after many concerns about the Amiga cases not appearing, due a number of delays and the bad feelings regarding Kickstarters, we are happy to say that not only are they being shipped to backers, but we have one in our hands for an exclusive review!

Honestly, didn't like it at all...
The black case with the original keys looks so much out of place.

Nothing beats the original (retro brighted) case in my opinion.

The Amiga looks hideous in black. It's just not meant to be.

I have one of these coming in the normal colours and I hope it lives up to the promises. I've seen some of those new C64 cases and the finish was crap.

I'm also in for the keycaps as well so my new case matches the keys. Again a bit of a expensive risk. The keycaps are not cheap at all. Nearly as much as the case!

Just going to add to this. Have mine now. Sadly it appears to be too white. The moulding itself is fine, aside from the stupid cut outs that mean you have thinner bits of plastic in certain places. But the big issue really is that if you ordered the 'original' colour, you ain't getting 'original' but something whiter.

I've heard that from a couple of people now. They seem to be snow white and not the cream/beige the original was.

Maybe the time will solve this, like in the original model!  :D

Yeah, which is annoying when the Kickstarter said they would be original colour.

Also I note all the review copies sent seemed to be coloured, not 'originals' and that the cases started arriving after the keycap Kickstarter had closed. If I'd seen the snow white case, I probably would have not backed the keycaps.

I recorded my unboxing earlier in the week and the more I hear from people the more I believe the screwed up the colours on the case.

Still its Kickstarter so there is no comeback and I suspect most of us are now in for some wrongly coloured keycaps now to go with our wrongly coloured Amigas.

I still could not check your video but, besides the colors, do you like it?  :)
