Mini Ghost - a 8bit 2D platform shooter game creator

Just noticed it on steam for 2 bucks. Its Basicly a MSX 2D platform game creator, but if i recall the MSX wasnt that different from the Amstrad CPC. Might be worth a look if you always wanted to create a 2D platform game yourself, but couldnt handle the massive work of creating a game engine yourself, programming char scrooling, enemy ai, collision and all that.


You can design you own levels, with enemy & pickup placements and your own sprites (that last one probably require some design skills tho). Of cause if you dont have the time to design, worst case you can just play the pre-build game

Or on the CPC you can play with the ACU series Roland Takes A Running Jump (Map Editor and Game Engine) that let you write your own Manic Miner style games.
