Can anyone shed some light and help these guys? Sounds interesting, to say the least!

That's just a raw cpc screen dump if you ignore the standard Amstrad header.
interestingly the header contains the hardware colour values and potentially the mode.
Not seen this format before.

So it's just the normal cpc, 0-80 first line, next line +&800, +&1000 etc.

Pixel arrangement is similar to BBC, possibly a couple of bits are swapped.

Which NES game had graphics created in OCP Art Studio on the CPC?! Sounds fascinating....
An expanding array of hardware available at www.cpcstore.co.uk (and issue 4 of CPC Fanzine!)

So as simple as extracting the 16k and swapping the header?

Yes indeed! Hence my interest... Do click on the tweet to see the whole (short) discussion on Twitter though, he gives some more info and the title - it's Silver Surfer.

Well, put that file on a DSK rename it to *.SCR and try to load it with OCP, should work.  :)

Silver Surfer.

Nice to know that the CPC was used to do graphics for the NES in a professional setting. I liked OCP Art Studio back in the day.
