I just got my 6128 plus. I boot CPM +, then tell it to format drive B as System disk or data disk, when it is finished it says REMOVE BOTH DISKS PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE,

No matter what key I press it just keeps saying REMOVE BOTH DISKS PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE

Thanks for the help

HAL6128

Which Hardware Extension have you plugged in? Did you boot CPM from ROMs or DISC?
...proudly supported Schnapps Demo, Pentomino and NQ-Music-Disc with GFX

I have an external 3.5" drive with cable going from 6128 + Centronics to Floppy drive

robcfg

Maybe the handling of the ready signal of the 3.5" external drive?

retro_collector

the cable has ABBA switch and head change for Gotek so I don't know how I can fix it

robcfg

The ready signal has to be fixed by modifying a couple of bridges on the disk drive's pcb, as far as I remember.

retro_collector

its not that important .. easier to just reboot

GUNHED

You really should have correct Ready signals for CP/M+, SymbOS and FutureOS. Advanced software depends on that.  :)
http://futureos.de --> Get the revolutionary FutureOS (Update: 2023.11.30)

Yup.  I found the mod. Also requires a 1k resistor :). I will do the mod and report back
