A sub-category of Strategy games, the war game pits either one player against another or the computer in a test of leadership and tactical skill.

Often using real historical scenarios, war games can take several hours (or in some case days) to play through and are seen somewhat of a niche maket in so far as to truly getting something out of it, you should have an interest going in.
