David Crookes was editor of the [[CPC Undercover]] fanzine which ran for six issues between June 1992 and June 1993. He also wrote a fanzine column ('Further Reading') for [[Amstrad Action]] and made many contributions to [[WACCI]] on various subjects.

David Crookes was editor of the CPC Undercover fanzine which ran for six issues between June 1992 and June 1993. He also wrote a fanzine column ('Further Reading') for Amstrad Action and made many contributions to WACCI on various subjects.

During his time on CPC Undercover, he also set up Pacific Software, a small PD library which provided PD software grouped together by genre, and he also sold some commercial games.

David began his entire writing career on Presto News, edited and published by Akira (Matt Gullam), proprietor of Presto PD.

David continues to write for various computer and videogame magazines including Imagine Publishing's Retro Gamer, which covers the Amstrad CPC.
