Won it today, hope it arrives and works  :o Needs cables apparently, can I use any from the CPC 464 or 6128?

Also got these for the Amiga/Amstrad

A CPC power supply will work (good quality 5v supply from a supplier like RS) but you'll need a new SCART cable as the Plus machines have extra pins on the monitor connector to also carry sound.

That's good as I can use the 5V PSU from the skart kit I got for the CPC 6128.... But I did wonder about the SCART :(

Thanks :D

Eh, no. A CPC PSU won't work unless it has the correct plug on the end. The CPC uses a 5.5mm / 2.1mm connector, the plus uses a 5.5mm / 2.5mm plug. The SCART cable is wrong because the plus monitor has extra pins for sound, so you either need an adapter to use your CPC SCART or buy a complete plus SCART cable.

The machine looks good and clean. Hope it works for you. If not, you know where to find me :)

Ooh Drakkhen... still got the novella somewhere!

I always liked Drakken a lot as well!  :D

Great products! I bought something today as well, since it is Black Friday in UK, but just for the PS4  :picard:

Ahh damn it, another Scart kit I have to get :p

Also it's missing the rom cart, is that going to be an issue?

You can either buy a new one from Trade-in-post, find one on ebay, get a C4CPC from gerald or get a secondhand one from someone here, so I'd say no, you have quite a few options.

I think your best option is to get a C4CPC from Gerald  ;)

Even if you like collecting original games, you could run all the converted carts and even do your own maybe as you wouldn't need to worry about remapping keys if your are only making them for yourself and not to be GX4000 friendly.  ;)

Don't forget that it's a lot quicker to load from cart than tape, especially multi load games, they have got to be a pain on the 464 plus anyway as it doesn't have a tape counter.  ::)

Anyway, I hope you get it all up and running and enjoy using it.  :D

Ah yes, sorry I leave the adaptor plugged into the Plus at all times so I forget. No drama though, just costs 99p on Ebay.
