I picked up a couple of these, not sure if they are good and working revisions, but keep an eye out in case the seller lists some more.  They were reasonably priced.

How quick is it?

That built one isn't mine, I just got an empty motherboard.  Looking at the MSX2 examples of it running, at least MSX2 mode is not very fast - it almost looks like hardware sprites emulated using software.

contrary to what is stated in the eBay listing, the colour palette is 64, not 512.

It is a great system with advanded features compated to the CPC, but the MSX side is a joke.
Should have been great to connect a V9958 on this rebuilt version, insted of a display emulation.

It would be considerably easier to build if they gave a list of the standard TTL names for the chips instead of the Russian names.

Take this one for a test drive, and you'll agree.

well... he has another one.  If it really is the last one, only he would know - but the price isn't too bad.

The form factor of the Aleste 2018 PCB is the same as the Elektronika UKNC (a PDP-11 compatible computer), so it fits inside the UKNC casing and is designed to use its keyboard.

This casing seems to be like an OEM part for some Elektronika computers, since it also present on Elektronika MS 1502 -an XT clone.

Since I believe the UKNC/MS 0511 is more valuable than the MS 1502, I chose the MS 1502 shell for my Aleste-rebuild project. Btw, I gave the spare 1502 board to Habi, so he will expand his experiments on soviet computers xD

Electrically, it's a simple matrix just like the CPC, so making a keyboard shouldn't be an issue.
