Campursoft Hard Drive - AA95

What became of the Campursoft Hard Drive that got mentioned in issue 95 of Amstrad Action.

How far did the project get? Was a working drive ever produced, how did it work and who was behind it?

Peter, are you able to enlighten us?

We had a working HD prototype but due to the demise of Amstrad Action all work on CPC projects ceased + we were working on the ill fated PcW16 and priority was given to that. The chap that built it was also the designer of the VideoMaster but I'll be dammed if I can remember his name, which is quite irritating. I do remember that the software switch that he told me was used to access the HD - "Hardon/Hardoff" was never going to make it to the finished product!

Nothing in Glasgow I'm afraid.
The original designer might be found one day when I have finished going thru the 200+ Romdos D20 discs here but until then.........................

These days a device you plug a USB into would suffice.  What with the Internet, now be fun to see a HD realised...

Quite like to see the ROM emulated in say WinAPE...   A 20 MB A: would be nice!!!!
