Similar to my thoughts - must get one now that piracy is an option :D

I'd settle for a gx4000 emulator for android, especially since I have just ordered a JXD S7800b. :)

How much GX4000 would you have gotten for it? Hope this question is not too indiscreet. But it's a Friday!  :) :) :)

Well....

About 2 at current E-Bay prices delivered to Ireland. However 2 GX4000 will not emulate a Dreamcast, PSP, N64, Amiga, ST, DOS, DS, GBA, etc..... etc.......

Oh, or run the games from the Android Market Place.

Well, the nice people from Retrocables bought a lot of the boxed GX4000 (I bought one already  ;D ) and you can order them in their site: http://retrocables.es/tienda/index.php?id_category=165&controller=category&id_lang=1

Interesting! Well 1 GX4000 with some luck may emulate a CBS colecovision soon though. At least I thought about how to do it last night while I couldn't find sleep.  ;)

and with 3 plus machines (464 with upgrades and 2 6128s) do I need another gx/plus device in the house. But a portable pang device will be awesome.

How about a hand held gx4000 mod.
I like how that sounds

That's almost like emulating an MSX.

Sadly, the Colecovision VDP is more powerfull than a CPC for games, so it will be not possible to emulate it properly.  ;D

I wouldn't say more powerful. But definitely different. However I intend to take a 6128 Plus anyway. But that's all future music, because I have to finish up Giana first.  :)

EDIT: Any new on the project? Sorry for being impatient.

Hi,
Just signed up to this forum since i'm intrested in the cartridge, depening on the final price.
I bought a gx4000 a few years ago and it's a cool looking console. But since i only have one game for it, it doesn't get a lot of play time.

zeropolis79

Same here - only have Burning Rubber..

but I also need a power lead.

Ast

@gerald : is your card ready now?
Can we buy it?

I've just seen your edited post  :-[

Here is a WIP screenshot of the cardridge selector, which is near its final version

I still need to do some tests on a non-visible part of the uC code, namely functions that will allow code on the CPC to access the sD filesystem (fopen/fread/fclose equivalent). These will be read only at relase, but later update may give write access.

TFM

WoW! That's awesome! More than I ever thought to be possible! Kudos!  :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

It uses cpr files?? Wouldn't pure bin be easier, or will it do both?

Bryce.

It can use both. But with cpr you are sure it is a cartridge  ;)

The greatest thing about this project is that we now REALLY can start do develop for Plus Cartridges. No offense against the great Plus emulators out there, but the real machine is the real thing.  :)
