hii got a 464 plus recently and connected a few regular joysticks to both gaming ports, but they didn't work, the only one that works is the gaming controller from Amstrad... is that by design or do I have a problem ?
On my Plus all joysticks work, that also work on the CPC.
What joysticks did you try? Does the joystick maybe need 5V? E.g. Megadrive/Genesis gamepads usually don't work as they need 5V and the CPC/Plus doesn't provide that.
No problems here either - I've used various joysticks and all OK with the Plus.
ok that's weird I tried two separate joysticks (one amstrad model) in both ports and neither worked, they work just fine in my other 'normal' CPC's however,
could this be a hardware fault ?
